David Meece is one of the founding fathers of Contemporary Christian music. As many of the artists on this station, he was persecuted and not honored when the secular companies bought up the "christian" companies in the mid 90s. Thus, his voice was silenced in the mainstream and as turbulent as it was, God was faithful and David's voice is still be hearing by thousands. What he is saying is the same thing he was saying years ago in 1976 when his first Christian album was released. That is to turn to Jesus and surrender your life to him.

David was born in Humble, Texas and was a child prodigy on the piano. By age 16, David was the featured soloist for the Houston Symphony and received a full scholarship to the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD. This is where David surrendered to Christ and eventually laid the path he would follow into Contemporary Christian Music. David has had many hits through the years that you may recognize: "We Are the Reason", "My Father's Chair", "This Time" and the list continues, but his heart has always been for God.

David continues to tour anywhere that he is invited to go, so that the message of Jesus can be heard. He grew up with an abusive and alcoholic father, so through those experiences he connects with people on a personal level to give them hope and motivation to look past their emotional scars to receive healing from God.
