Rico Thomas is one of the silent powerhouses in Contemporary Christian Music. Before he dedicated his life to Jesus he had a successful secular career, but praise God that he had other plans for Rico unto which he submitted. This brought him to Nashville, TN where he started touring with many individuals. Over the years, he has toured, recorded and/or played with Michael W. Smith, DC Talk, CeCe Winans, Margaret Becker, Rachael Lampa, Matthew West, Toby Mac, NewSong, etc.... He graciousness is apparent to anyone who meets him and fans really appreciate his honesty and openness about his relationship with Jesus. Rico is never too busy to talk with a person and it brings him joy to share his life with them, even if only a moment.
Rico started playing guitar when he was 7 years old. He mastered his instrument through countless hours of practicing and studying music. He has a passion for any style of music that can communicate his feelings or the feelings of others.
Rico has recorded a jazz CD that is his first Christian solo CD. The CD was done on a "pay what you can afford" basis. That means anyone that would like a copy can pay whatever they can afford for the CD no matter how big or how little. This demonstrates his commitment to the gospel and shows that his motivation is not money, but ministry. I hope that you will enjoy his jazz album that is being played on this station.
